My Videos

Recently, I´ve been trying to learn the basics of videography by filming short videos of my outdoor adventures. Follow me on YouTube for updates on new videos when they´re published.

Iceland Stopover

My four day stopover in Iceland in July 2018.

Rented a car from Reykjavik and drove all the way up north to Hauganes where I stayed in a quiet AirBnB by the ocean away from the crowds.

Childhood Dream

One of my long-living childhood dreams was getting myself a tattoo.

Back in the 80´s, I was a big fan of Mötley Crüe. My room was filled with their posters and I had all their albums on C-cassettes playing constantly when I was around.

Mom wasn´t really a fan. We used to have long discussions on why I really needed to get a tattoo with their star logo and band name on my right arm. Lucky she never let me.

Now my daughter’s dreaming of becoming a tattoo artist when she grows up. I figured I´d get her out of it by finally taking myself one and inviting her to watch the whole process.

Didn´t really work as intended.

Carousel on Ice

When the temperature drops below -10c and the sun comes out what do the Finns do? We bring out our chainsaws, get on a lake and start cutting the ice for some wintery fun!

Christmas Morning

Out for a coffee with my father on the Christmas Morning.

We only get a few hours of daylight in Finland this time of the year. Up north the sun is rising next time late January. Me and my father decided to spend the short day out skiing in the woods where we used to go hunting together when I was young. We packed some firewood and coffee and slowly skied through the snowy, quiet forest.

Coffee has rarely tasted that good – Christmas Morning to remember.

Filmed with Sony a6500 and DJI Spark.

On a Winter Night

Camping with my daughter on a winter night.

We set out late in darkness and walked a couple hours to a desolate island only accessible with planks on shallow water. It snowed through the night and we slept like babies in total quietness.

When she grows up and someone asks, “Where were you when Finland celebrated 100 years of independence?” – I want her to answer , “Camping with my father”.

Filmed with Sony a6500 and DJI Spark.
